Fine art has been William’s hobby throughout his career as a Professional Engineer. He has attended classes at the Ontario College of Art in oils and acrylics. Historical pen and ink drawings are also part of his forte.
Since retiring, William has adopted Watercolours as his preference because of their spontaneity, vibrancy and transparency. He has successfully applied this medium to scenes not only of rural Ontario but of places he has visited around the world. His topics of interest range from floral and landscapes to architectural settings.
William is currently a member of the Willowdale Group of Arts and the Art Guild of Scarborough. He is also a co-cordinator of the Banbury Art Group workshops. He enjoys attending watercolour courses instructed by well-known artists.
He was excited to win “Best in Class” for Watercolour at the Art Guild of Scarborough’s Fall Show.
